ABRAHAM LINCOLN KONJA FILES FOR NDC DEPUTY YOUTH ORGANISER IN KRACHI NCHUMURU

Abraham Lincoln Konja has officially filed his nomination to contest the position of Deputy Constituency Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Krachi Nchumuru Constituency.

The filing attracted a strong show of support from young members of the party, with a significant number of youths accompanying Mr Konja to the nomination centre.

The turnout, according to Mr Konja, reflects growing interest among young party members in taking on greater responsibilities within the NDC and playing a more active role in grassroots party organisation.

He said the enthusiasm demonstrated by the youth should serve as a signal to constituency leaders and party stakeholders about the importance of creating opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to the party’s activities and future direction.

“The youth have spoken through their presence. This is not just about one individual; it is about giving the youth a stronger voice and a meaningful role in building our party from the grassroots,” Mr Konja said.

He subsequently called on the constituency leadership, executives and other stakeholders to take note of the growing enthusiasm among young members and support greater youth participation in party affairs.

His candidacy comes at a time when youth participation and grassroots mobilisation remain important components of political party organisation, particularly at the constituency level.

Mr Konja is seeking to position his campaign around stronger youth representation, greater grassroots engagement and increased opportunities for young members to participate in decision-making and party activities.

The strong turnout at his filing is expected to add momentum to the contest as candidates seek to secure the support of delegates ahead of the constituency-level election.

For Mr Konja, however, the filing represents more than an individual political ambition. He says it is an opportunity to advance a broader call for the youth to be given a more meaningful role in shaping the future of the NDC in the Krachi Nchumuru Constituency.
