The mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani calls to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, should he visit the city.
In a post published on twitter on Tuesday 21st July 2026, Mamdani said, “Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal. He is responsible for the killing of more than 73,000 people”. he stated to agree with the ICC [International Criminal Court] and adding Netanyahu's to be arrested and tried for war crimes.
This called comes in line with the pledge he made to New york during his campaign to become the mayor, he stated that he will get Netayahu arrested should incase he steps foot in NYC.
However US president, Donald Trump in his post on social media state otherwise. “ he will not be arrested, in any way, shape, or form” while in the United state.
